Topic :- RUN DON’T REST – Monday September 28th 2015

Memorise:
For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. Hebrews 13:14;

Read 1st Kings 13:7-14;
7 And the king said unto the man of God, Come home with me, and refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward.
8 And the man of God said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place:
9 For so was it charged me by the word of the Lord, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest.
10 So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Bethel.
11 Now there dwelt an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father.
12 And their father said unto them, What way went he? For his sons had seen what way the man of God went, which came from Judah.
13 And he said unto his sons, Saddle me the ass. So they saddled him the ass: and he rode thereon,
14 And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Judah? And he said, I am.

MESSAGE:
In today’s Bible reading, we have a very sad story of a young prophet sent by God to the city of Bethel with strict instructions. After he delivered the message, he took a different route homewards as instructed by God. But along the way, he felt danger had passed and so he decided to take a rest. While taking his rest, an old prophet came by, lied to him and convinced him to return with him. He obeyed this old prophet and eventually met his death. If only he had delayed his rest, the false prophet would have come looking for him without finding him. Just as it happened to this young prophet, resting too soon has terminated the Christian race of so many believers. In some races, we sometimes see a contestant that is running so fast, leaving other contestants far behind. For the contestant ahead, there is always the temptation to relax, reduce speed and to take the rest of the journey easy, due to a false sense of having won the race already. Many contestant has yielded to such temptations and got the shock of a lifetime. You will do yourself a lot of good to know that on earth, while on our way to Heaven, we have no resting place. For this reason, Hebrew 4:9 says:
“There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.”

What the devil or your flesh is suggesting to you as a rest is actually meant to activate your spiritual death warrant. Our rest in Heaven is eternal, and this is partly to compensate us for the no-rest race we have to run on earth. If you want rest, wait until you get to Heaven.

Sometimes ago, I visited Australia. While there, a brother shared a testimony that made me weep inside. The old man testified that some time ago, a particular man of God who was highly anointed came to Australia. People brought their dead and they were raised back to life. Within one week, there were ambulances bringing in dead people to the crusade. I could recall this particular man of God. He started very well and was mightily used of God, but along the line, he began to bring in some strange doctrines. He said all that was needed now was only faith; there was no more need for fasting, holiness, etc. He did not end up very well. Beloved, since you have started the race, focus on it and continue to run. Receive all the grace that you can muster from the Lord and continue running the race. Refuse any proposal to slow down or rest, as this is meant to terminate your race.

Prayer Point:
Father, let me never encounter the rest that would terminate my race to Heaven, in Jesus’ Name.

Why I Can’t Date A Celebrity – Chidinma

Chidinma Ekile has revealed she is not a fan
of dating celebrities .She tells Pulse TV it’s a
lot of headache as they is alot of madness in
fame..
I am actually not a fan of celebrity
relationships. I don’t know how others feel
about it, but for me I am not a big fan of it.
I just think it is a lot of headache. You are
both in the same line of work. Who calms
who? So it’s a lot of madness already and
we are both in it and we are both running
around. It doesn’t work for me.
It can be anything not music but if God
says that’s what is going to be then who
am I to argue but as human as I am I don’t
think I will like that.

Emir Sanusi Married Adamawa Princess As Fourth Wife

The Kano Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II has
married Sa’adatu Barkindo-Musdafa, the 18-
year-old daugther of the Lamido of Adamawa.
Emir Sanusi
Premium Times’ sources within the palace
say the lowkey wedding ceremony was held in
the Lamido’s Yola palace on Friday, right after
the Jumma’at prayer. Selected few dignitaries
from across the country and Kano government
officials have entered Yola in secret to avoid
media attention.
Abdullahi Ganduje, Kano state governor,
reportedly acted as the groom’s guardian, with
his Adamawa counterpart Jibrilla Bindow
filling the same role for the bride.
A top Kano government official who was
present at the wedding ceremony spoke to
Premium Times about the event.
“His [Sanusi’s] decision to take a new wife is
in line with Islamic injunction,” he said. “Islam
allows having a maximum of four wives for
those who can treat all of them equally and
provide for a large family.”
The marriage was also confirmed by another
source within the palace, with the additional
information that Sa’adatu is not to move in
with the Emir immediately.
Also speaking on the issue, Dan’Almajiri
Ibrahim, a social commentator, provided a
history background for the practice of
marrying a number of wives: “So, the
engagement of the Adamawa princess to Emir
Sanusi II may also be a move to deepen royal
bond between Adamawa and Kano.
“You see, historically, both emirates have
similar origins in the 19th Century Uthman Bn
Fodio’s jihad.”
Emir Sanusi is currently away in Saudi Arabia
where he is acting as leader of Nigeria’s
delegation to this year’s Hajj.
Sanusi has three other wives: the daughter of
the late Kano Emir, Sadyia, also Maryam and
Rakyia. The 18-year-old Sa’adatu has recently
graduated from a secondary school and
has enrolled for advanced level studies.

Mavin Boss “Don Jazzy” Ignores D’banj On Stage

D’banj as a singer and Don Jazzy the
producer used to be the perfect team
as the honchos of Mo’hits Records.
But like a bolt from the blue, their
hitherto smooth relationship
collapsed in 2012 like a pack of
badly arranged cards.
Ever since, fans and colleagues in
the music industry have been
begging the duo to come back
together and rework their magic.
However, what could have been the
perfect opportunity for the two
heavyweights to address the issue
came to pass on Sunday, September
20,at the Eko Hotel-venue of 2face
Idibia’s Fortyfied Concert.
D’banj mounted the stage to perform
some of his hit songs to the delight of
the audience, and halfway through,
he said he was going to perform a
song, ‘Feeling Good’ produced by
Don Jazzy and featuring 2face that
was leaked online before it could be
properly released.
He beckoned on Don Jazzy to join
him on stage to perform the song,
but Jazzy remained glued to his seat
with new Mavin signees, Reekado
Banks, Korede Bello, and Dija.
Even when 2face begged the duo to
produce one more hit together, Don
Jazzy remained resolute. In 2face’s
words, ‘Don Jazzy and D’banj, abeg
make una do one more song, just
one…. I take God beg una.’
D’banj instantly responded with the
words, “Sure! It’s going to happen,”
while Don Jazzy still remained on his
seat without even a smile.
This led many of the guests in
attendance to insinuate that D’banj
was more eager for a come-back
than Don Jazzy is.

Topic :- FROM DEBTOR TO CREDITOR – Sunday September 27th 2015

Memorise:
For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper. Psalm 72:12

Read: Psalm 72:10-14,
10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
11 Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.
12 For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.
13 He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.
14 He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.

MESSAGE:
When Jesus went into a synagogue one day, He met a man with a withered hand. When a hand is withered, it means it has died and totally dried up. In spite of the withered state of this hand, that encounter with Jesus restored life to it (Mark 3:1-5). There are some people whose future has withered financially. In the Name of Jesus Christ, you will soon become a creditor to many. Our God is a very practical God. I am speaking from experience. Beyond reading about Him, I have seen Him in action so many times that I can confidently say my God can reverse the irreversible.

Let us consider the experience of one of my daughters. She lost her husband and had 17 months to feed in addition to a huge debt; the biggest of which was in London. During one of our Conventions, the Lord said there was someone there who was heavily indebted, and that He was going to give that person three financial breakthrough: the first one was for God, the second was to be split 50-50 between God and that person, while the third would settle the persons problems permanently. On hearing this word, she received it. Within one week, she came with some big money she got, saying this was the first one. I argued with her and tried to refuse taking it, but she insisted. Eventually, we took the money but did not spend it. Not long after, the second one came and she brought 50% to God. It was easier for me to receive this than the first. Then came the third one: a bank in London that she owed so much wrote to say that they had checked their records and found out that she did not owe them, instead they were the ones owing her. Could they really have made a mistake? The most likely thing that occurred was that God went into the records and changed her status from debtor to creditor. Are you in debt? If you can call on the Lord in faith and secure His intervention, He can go into the books and turn the records in your favour. Yes! It is possible for you to move from debtor to creditor! All records are in God’s hands, because He is the Alpha and Omega. He is the first and Last of all alphabets, so He can cause every writing to work in your favour. Every negative thing written about you shall fail as the Alpha and Omega takes charge over them. These are His words to you in Colossians 2:14:
“Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;”
You shall experience the reality of this Word in your finances in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer point:
Father, wipe out my debts and turn around my financial situations in Jesus’ Name.

Nigerian Army Gives Strong And Serious Warning To Big Men Plotting To Prolong Boko Haram Activities.

The Nigerian Army has raised the
alarm over plans by “some highly-
placed individuals” in the North
East, particularly Borno State, to
sabotage military operations in the
region.
“The Nigerian Army wishes to
inform the public and send a very
strong and serious final warning to
some prominent individuals and
political groups who hailed from
Borno State in particular and North
East generally, that there is
information of plans by some highly
placed individuals and political
groups to undermine and scuttle the
fight against terrorism and
insurgency in this country.
“The unscrupulous individuals and
their cohorts were determined to
reverse the gains made and scuttle
our efforts of achieving the
Presidential directive to defeat Boko
Haram terrorists within 3 months.
They are enlisting the services of
some Non-Governmental
Organizations in this grand design…
“It has come to our knowledge that
they were employing every means to
see that the operation does not
succeed in order for them to
continue to enjoy certain benefits.
“It has been revealed that they are
employing the services of marabouts
and other unethical means in order
to frustrate our efforts and the
operations in addition to campaign
of calumny.
“We are aware of their clandestine
meetings and other diabolical efforts
to achieve their nefarious aims. This
would not be tolerated.
“Therefore, such individuals and
groups should be warned in
unmistakable terms that anyone
found would be dealt with
accordingly.
“People should place the interest of
the nation above any personal gain
or ambition. The continued lost of
lives and property in this country
through terrorists activities does not
one any good.”
A statement released by the army
spokesman, Sani Usman, said the
elite were bent on having the
activities of the Boko Haram
terrorists prolonged for their selfish
interests.

REVEALED!!!Senators Set To Impeach Saraki

The problems of Nigeria’s embattled senate
president, Bukola Saraki, might have taken
another dimension has reports have revealed
that senators under the Senate Unity Forum
had begun to woo senators loyal to the
Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki in
the face of the ongoing trial of the Mr Saraki
at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
Troubled senator Bukola Saraki
It would be recalled that of Senate Unity
Forum who were opposed to the emergence
of Saraki as senate president and are believed
to be loyal to the leadership of the ruling
party, All Progressive Congress (APC).
It is believed that the group in in new move,
might have succeeded in the support of 12
pro-Saraki senators who are mainly members
of the opposition party Peoples Democratic
Party members, Punch reports.

It was also reported that the group has had
several meetings with leadership of the APC
including Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Chief John
Odigie-Oyegun and Chief Bisi Akande on how
to get the required 73 members needed to
oust the senate president.
“We know that getting the required figure to
carry out an impeachment at the moment would
be a herculean task but honestly we hope to
achieve it very soon. Already there has been a
serious move to get our former party members
who are with Saraki now back to our camp.
“I can also confirm to you that we have the
support of about 12 Peoples Democratic Party
senators who are ready to support any move
against Saraki. Don’t forget that some ranking
PDP senators are still aggrieved over the
emergence of freshers as their principal
officers,” a member of the group from the
South-West geopolitical zone told the
newspaper.
Further checks by one of our correspondents
also revealed that some of the APC leaders
who met with the SUF members had asked
the anti – Saraki senators to work on some
influential PDP senators who could get their
colleagues to support their course.
Another source who was questioned over the
move and quoted said, “I am not in Abuja now,
we shall resume on Monday. I don’t have
specific information at the moment but what I
can assure you of is that our leaders have said
that it is fight to finish.
“We learnt that the like minds senators are
already working on some of their supporters in
the PDP camp to reject the ministerial list by
refusing to screen them but we are also ready
for them. I won’t disclose our strategy for now.”
A senator told the newspaper that Saraki
might step aside to save his face from the
impending embarrassment at the end of the
CCT trial.
“We know that he might want to give conditions
like a settlement of his CCT case out of court,
withdrawing of Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission charges against his wife and an
end to his former manager’s trial for alleged
fraud at the Société Générale Bank. We could
help him in this regard to have a soft landing
and avoid disgrace,“ he said.
But a pro-Saraki senator maintained that the
seat of the Senate President was not
threatened because the Code of Conduct
Tribunal had no jurisdiction to try Senator
Bukola Saraki for any criminal offence.

“The idea that members of the SUF are reaching
out to pro-Saraki senators in the senate does
not arise because majority of the members of
the upper chamber had freely elected their
presiding officers and would not be in a hurry
to remove them because of any politically
motivated trial by a tribunal which lacks
jurisdiction to do so.
“Nobody can impeach or arrest the Senate
President, and the lawyers are there to argue
out the competence or otherwise of the CCT to
try the case preferred against him. More than 80
senators had signed a document with which
they unanimously passed a vote of confidence
on their president.
“No senator had approached any of us on any
issue of impeachment because they know the
answer already. They cannot get 73 senators to
impeach the Senate President. They are playing
games and we are also ready for them,” he
said.
Meanwhile, the APC may have concluded
plans to replace the embattled Senate
president.
Saraki recently said his appearance before
the Code of Conduct Tribunal has further
demonstrated his believe in the rule of law
and respect for the judiciary.

FIFA Rankings: Super Falcons Drop Eight Places

The Super Falcons of Nigeria has dropped nine
places in the latest FIFA rankings to 38th
position in the world.
The poor position of the Falcons can be
attributed to the abysmal performance of the
