South African Serial Child Rapist Given 28 Life Sentences Including 538 years Imprisonment

Peter Dashboy Khaza r*ped over 20 children in
Tembisa and Olifantsfontein over a period of 4
years. According to the indictment, his victims
were as young as 9. He would tie them up, use
some form of lubrication which he would rub
on their genitals before raping them.
Judge Eben Jordaan of the Johannesburg High
Court on Monday April 4 sentenced Khoza to 28
life sentences for each of the r*pes he committed
over a four-year period. The 46-year-old was
sentenced to another 538 years behind bars for
his other crimes‚ including kidnapping and
assaulting the children he r*ped and others.
He was convicted of 28 counts of r*pe and two of
attempted r*pe‚ 45 of kidnapping‚ 17 of assault
with the intent to do grievous bodily harm‚ nine
of common assault‚ 18 of $exual assault‚ 16 of
compelling a child to witness a $exual offence
and four of theft.
The offences were committed between 2007 and
2013 in the areas south of Pretoria. Khoza would
lure girls as young as nine years old into the
bushes where he would tie them up and r*pe
some of the children. The state alleges that in
cases where he kidnapped more than one child,
Khoza would r*pe one and force the other to
watch. He also r*ped one of his victims, an 11-
year-old , in front of her two-year-old brother.
He would also on occassion take some of his
victims’ belongings including groceries and
money.
He faced 152 charges but Jordaan found him not
guilty on 13 charges‚ which included kidnapping
‚ common‚ assault and theft. In addition to the
life sentences‚ Jordaan sentenced Khoza to:
• 12 years in prison for each of the two counts of
attempted r*pe;
• 10 years for each of the 17 counts of assault
with intent to do grievous bodily harm;
• Five years for each of the 45 counts of
kidnapping;
• Five years for each of the 18 counts of $exual
assault;
• One year for each of the nine counts of
common assault;
• One year for each of the 16 counts of
compelling a child to witness a $exual assault;
and
• One year for each of the four counts of theft.
All the sentences will run concurrently.
Jordaan also ordered that Khoza’s name be
included in the National Register for $ex
Offenders.
“The accused is a serial rapist. Even if he is
released in his sixties‚ he will be a danger to
society‚” Jordaan said.
Jordaan said Khoza’s actions could be described
as “horrible and unacceptable”.
He said the children Khoza had r*ped were
traumatised and became hysterical when they
saw him in court.
Family members and friends of Khoza’s victims
clapped their hands and cheered after the judge
delivered his sentence.
“Goodbye celebrity‚” one woman said while
waving at Khoza as he was ushered into the
police cells.
The mother of Khoza’s last victim‚ a girl who
helped to identify him in order to be arrested
‚ said she was pleased with the sentence.
“My daughter still gets nightmares about this
man. She cannot socialise with other children‚”
the woman said. “She does not trust men
anymore. I also cannot even get romantically
involved with a man because I am scared for my
daughter.”

Topic:- THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT – Tuesday April 5th 2016

Memorise: But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8

Read: John 7:37-39,
37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Message
The baptism of the Holy Spirit is very important to every heaven-bound Christian for many reasons. The first thing that comes to mind is the personality of the Baptiser, that is, the Holy Spirit Himself. He is the third person in the Trinity. From the beginning, God has been in charge of everything that goes on in the universe including the redemption of man. The Holy Spirit, being the third person in the Trinity plays a major role, not only in the redemption process but also plays the role of preserving the believer after the salvation experience.

“And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30

There are lots of spiritual virtues the Holy Spirit imparts on believers when they receive His baptism. These virtues are very fundamental to the Christian experience. For example, in our text for today, we read of the flow of rivers of living water, symbolizing the Holy Spirit. Just as water is very important to the physical survival of man, so also is the Living water very important to the spiritual survival of man. A Christian gets spiritually dehydrated and consequently spiritually dead as a result of the lack of the Holy Spirit. This is the reason why one wonders when some schools of thought say that the Holy Spirit baptism is an outdated Christian experience. It is not.

Another fundamental blessing which accrues from the baptism of the Holy Spirit is what we find in the instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ in today’s memory verse. Without the baptism of the Holy Spirit, there can be no power for Christians to evangelise or witness about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. It would have been a different ball-game if the disciples of old were not empowered and emboldened by the coming of the Holy Spirit when they were apprehended by the Jewish leader:

“And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.” Acts 4:31-33

Beloved, do you think you are a weak Christian; afraid of coming out to exhibit your conviction that Jesus is Lord? Or, you are rising and falling because you cannot stand the wiles of the devil which are inevitable in this perverted generation? Are you being played with like a toy in the hands of demons? All you need is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. To be baptised, however, requires your determination to please the Lord and live above sin. Pray earnestly for it and you will be baptised for power, refreshing and for a victorious Christian living.

Prayer Point:
Lord Jesus, please send your Holy Spirit to me afresh, and get me refreshed and empowered today.

Face Off - Linda Ikeji Replies Wizkid(Read)

Linda Ikeji who has kept mute since Wizkid leveled an allegation against has this morning took to her blog giving the baba nla himself her response.

Read in this article below;

'So my darling little ‘friend’ Wizkid came on
my IG page this morning to blast me for
writing yesterday that he was given quit
notice at the Lekki home he claimed he
bought some years ago, which he actually
rented. He threatened to beat me up…called
me an ugly old bitch…(I’m ugly? lol) says I
don’t have a man (crying over that..) and
called my mum a loser…(what a child).
Anyway, all that don’t matter, people have
said worse to me…what I wanted to
address is the part where he said I slept
with his director and he left me in a hotel…
that one I will definitely want to address
because some people actually believe it.
That my dear friends, is a lie!

She then went on to emphasize that she has had no
contact with Wizkid before nor anybody affiliated
with him. She says she keeps from entertainers
altogether and is mostly celibate.

First and foremost, I’ve never met Wizkid
one on one. I’ve only seen him once in real
life on stage at a show a few years ago.
I’ve never met anybody who is his director.
Guess he put that line in his comments to
defame me. You that mad that people now
know the house is not yours? Lol.
Trust me, if I knew someone was Wizkid’s
director, I’d rather kill myself than sleep
with him or any other entertainer for that
matter (except maybe he’s my
husband..hehe) because I know how some
of these entertainers are…they kiss and tell
a lot. You can’t afford to be messing around
in their circle. So, no, I have NEVER slept
with Wizkid’s director. I live a celibate
life..most of the time. (Though, that has to
end soon…I’m getting old and missing out
on that part of life…lol)
I’ve always been an advocate of women
respecting their bodies and owning their
own. And I feel sex should only happen
when you’re in committed relationship (that
is if you can’t wait till marriage) and I
recommend celibacy for a long as you’re
not committed to someone. There’s
absolutely no dignity in sleeping around
and messing around with different men. It’s
ugly and God don’t like ugly. So no, I’m not
that woman, and will never be that woman.
Nice try, Wizkid!

After clearing that, she then went further to expose
more details of her and Wizkid’s interesting
relationship. According to her, Wizkid even tried
reaching out to her with an olive branch but she
didn’t bite since she has no problem with him.
Having said that, I’m sure, you wonder why
Wizkid is so mad at me? To be honest, I
don’t know either. All I know is that his
beef with me started a long time ago but he
decided to start bashing me online after I
refused a meeting with him. A few months
ago, he asked his PR people to contact me,
that he wanted to talk to me. For some
reason, he thought I didn’t like him and I
was hurting his image online. He wanted to
see how I could write more positive things
about him but I turned down the meeting.
Not that I have anything against him, I
sincerely don’t! I think he’s an amazing
talent and one of the few music stars in
Nigeria with a midas touch. So this wasn’t
personal. I just didn’t want to meet him. If
he lobbies me then it means I won’t be able
to write anything about him anymore…and
my job is to write…about everything,
including entertainers.
I am cordial with some of them…many of
them I have never met. I try to stay away
from gatherings where they are because the
more friends you make in the entertainment
industry, the less you can write. And that
will inadvertently affect your work. The few
ones that I call acquaintances, it’s hard to
write about them because you feel you’re
cool with them and even when you write,
they call you to complain. So, the fewer
‘friends’ I have in the entertainment
industry, the better my job will be.
So Wizkid can bash me all he wants…but I
will continue to do my job. Maybe he thinks
the more he bashes me, then I will stop
writing about him? Won’t work. But
meanwhile, if he tells a lie about me, I will
address it. LIB plans to be around for a
long time…some of these people will come
and go! :-).
Thanks everyone and Wizkid’s fans for
reading my response.
Then as if that was not enough, Linda fired off more
shots by announcing that Wizkid’s luxury car does
not belong to him either!

Oh and by the way, did I mention that his
Porsche car is also on hire purchase? Oh
shit, I just mentioned that! And no, darling,
you’re not 25! We know your real age!
Continue to have an amazing career while I
watch and continue to celebrate you.
Kisses

So there it is, wide out in the open. What do you
make of all these revelations?

Topic:- THE ELECT OF GOD – Monday April 4th 2016

Memorise: And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? Luke 18:7

Read: Colossians 3:12-17,
12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Message:
An elect is a chosen or preferred person. In Christian parlance, an elect is someone God, by His grace, has chosen to be qualified as righteous before Him. The Bible says:

“Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” Romans 8:33-34

It is a pleasant thing to be an elect of God, because He watches over His elect. He is not ashamed of them even among His holy angels, because they are doing Him proud in this pervert generation.

“But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.” Hebrew 11:16

In the light of the above scripture, therefore, the elect of God has both a moral and scriptural obligation to live in accordance to the commandments of God. The elect is more mindful of eternal life than the ephemeral things of this life. At times he suffers trials of cruel intimidation, marginalisation, and poverty because he cannot sell his conscience for a loaf of bread. This certainly made Jesus Christ assure us in Luke 18:7

“And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?”

The above assertion of Jesus Christ is pleasantly reassuring to the elect of God who has turned his back against all forms of godlessness and wickedness. The Almighty God will always be there for all His elects provided they cry to Him in the days of trouble (Psalms 50:15).
Beloved, are you an elect of God? If not, all it takes is for you to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour, repent of your sins and begin to live your life as approved by Jesus Christ in the gospels. I pray that the benefits of the elect shall be your portion in Jesus’ name.

Action Point:
Act upon John 3:3-5 and ask God to make you one of His elects.
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

I Am Not Blown Away By Fame – Simi

Even though she is considered one of the leading
lights in the Nigerian music industry, songbird
Simi doesn’t consider herself a ‘celebrity’.
“Well, this is the real me that can still stop by and
buy roasted plantain by the road side; I don’t feel
uncomfortable, I am not blown away by fame
because that is not what excites me, what excites
me is the music. I am happy about my celebrity
status only because more people know my music
and want to relate with it,” she told the Punch.
The X3m records act who revealed that she
would like to work with veteran musicians
Ebenezer Obey, King Sunny Ade and Pasuma
sometime in the future, also divulged that she
has always been a tomboy.
“While growing up, I was kind of a tom boy
because I have three elder brothers, and from my
mum I was the only girl and the last born.
So I liked wearing sneakers, baggy jeans, and I
was this bad girl who didn’t like too much trouble.
My dad spoilt my brothers and me.
We watched movies a lot, but my brothers
preferred horror movies so we all watched it
together. But it was fun.
When I was nine years, my parents got separated
and that was a really tough time for us because
we had to grow up faster but we came through
and we were good,” she said.

Topic:- APPOINTED DAY OF MERCY – Sunday April 3rd 2016

Memorise; And the publican standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. Luke 18:13

Read: Genesis 19:15-17,
15 And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
16 And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the Lordbeing merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.
17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

Message :
Since the fall of man at the Garden of Eden, the only factor that has sustained man in this world is God’s mercy. When a man receives God’s mercy, it would appear as if he is a genius or his righteousness has bestowed upon him some divine benevolence. This is not true. The Bible says in Lamentations 3:22

“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.”

In our memory verse for today, we read of the mercy which brought justification to the repentant publican. Because he begged for it, his day of mercy came unhindered. Jesus said in Luke 18:14

“I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abase, and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.”

One striking revelation in Christ’s assertion is that we can only obtain mercy when we acknowledge our sins and repent of them as the publican did. According to Luke 18:14, what prevents some people from receiving mercy from God is failure to admit that they are sinners and that they need to turn from their wicked ways. It is amazing that some children of God are in the habit of living in the world of relativism where what is right or wrong depends on the justification they have for it.

This is not the gospel. When they are caught stealing, they would rationalise it by putting the guilt on the fact that they are jobless. Some ladies claim that they took to prostitution because they were jobless and needed to take care of their aged parents!

“Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right; if the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.” Ezekiel 33:14-15

It takes humility to acknowledge it if we do something wrong against God or against our neighbour. The Bible says in Proverbs 28:13:

“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.”

Your appointed day of mercy comes when you humbly ask for it from the One who is rich in mercy (Ephesians 2:4). I appeal to someone using this devotional; if you have not repented of your sins through Jesus Christ, being forth the day of God’s mercy into your life by calling on the God of mercy today for forgiveness. Or, if you are a child of God, but seem to be void of His mercy, call on Him like a child will cry to his loving father for mercy. Today is the day of the Lord’s mercy for you and your loved ones in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Point:
Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me and give me testimonies.

Stop Telling People We Are Dating - Odunlade Adekola

Following the feud between Seyi Ariyo (She baby) and
Kemi Afolabi Odunlade Adekola is very bitter and has
send a warning signal to singer turned actress, She
Baby and actress Kemi Afolabi saying I have never
asked any of you out, stop saying we are in a
relationship!
When Odunlade got to hear of started off about
borrowed clothes and was later linked to him to him
having an affair with one of them, he was furious and
said he has never slept with any of the ladies, who are
equally married.
It was gathered that Odunlade said he might even sue
the actresses for putting his name in the mud, asking
them to keep him out of their ‘cheap publicity’.
In his words, “I was shocked and enraged when I read in
the news that two married actresses were fighting dirty
over me. I don’t know why they would drag my name
which I have spent years of hard work to build in the
mud just like that. I have no idea why they would even
mention my name in the matter and the first thing that
came to my mind was to contact my lawyers and sue
them for defamation but I decided against it because it
would turn into another scandal.”
“I am a happily married man with children and I wonder
why either of them would make such damaging
statement. Nothing like an amorous relationship exists
between me and any of them. In fact, I have only had a
one-on-one encounter with Seyi Ariyo about two times
and I doubt we have seen each other in the industry up
to four times. So, where did such claims come from?
They are just using my name for cheap publicity
probably to make their movie popular but why would
they want to do such at the expense of my family’s
happiness? I implore these ladies to stop using my
name for cheap publicity and face their craft. If such
happens again I may be forced to involve my lawyers in
the matter.”

Topic:- ETERNAL DAMNATION – Saturday April 2nd 2016

Memorise: He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but
he that believeth not shall be damned. Mark 16:16

Read: Mark 16:15-18,
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Message:
Eternal damnation is the worst thing that can happen to anyone, it is damnation for a lifetime here on earth and in eternity. Our Lord Jesus Christ said:

“And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.” Luke 12:4-5

Jesus Christ in the above passage is taking about eternal damnation for sinners and the ungodly. Many people choose eternal damnation indirectly by escaping the cost that godly living posses to them. in the midst of trials and tribulations, some children of God deny their Lord. Jesus Christ in Matthew 6:25-34 said we should not be anxious for what to eat or drink because our Father in heaven knows we will need them and so will provide them for us. We should not bow to the enticement of the devil. Rather, we should heed the Words of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, even if this exposes us to some challenges that are, as a matter of fact, temporary. This is the reason Jesus admonished His disciples saying:

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace in the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

To escape eternal damnation, therefore, we must accept the gospel of Jesus Christ wholeheartedly. It is unfortunate that there are many people in the Church today who do not believe the gospel. Some see the gospel as outdated; they believe that Christ came to redeem man from eternal damnation but they refused to keep to the terms and conditions of salvation. According to the text of our reading for today, accepting the gospel entails accepting the Lordship of Jesus Christ over our lives. We cannot do what pleases us anymore; we cannot afford to follow the whims and caprices of the world anymore (1st John 2:15-17).

Moreover, we must learn His ways and imbibe His ideals (Matthew 11:28-30). Failure to keep to these principles of Christian living makes our profession of Christianity a mere exercise. Jesus Christ asked His audience:
“And why call ye me, Lord Lord, and do not the things which I say?” Luke 6:46
May the Lord give us hearing ears and obedient hearts to do according to His perfect will.

Prayer Point:
Father, drench me with new anointing, and remove every hindrance to its flow in my life in Jesus’ name.

Memorise: And Samuel said unto him, The LORD hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou. 1 Samuel 15:28

Read : Acts 1:15-26
15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,
16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.
17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.
18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.
19 And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.
20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.
21 Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.
24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,
25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.
26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

Message
Many people do not know that God has alternatives for all His plans. This is why they behave as if God exists at their mercy. Such people cannot be more wrong in their perception of the Almighty God. The truth is that God cannot be held to ransom on any issue or event. This is why He always provides alternatives that are more often better than the original plan. Our memory verse for today confirms this, as we read about how God saw David as a better alternative to the first King of Isreal, Saul.

When a child of God becomes swollen-headed and he begins to disobey God in matters that seem very little like tithing and offering, first fruits and would winning, he or she is on the way to being replaced. My prayer for someone using this devotional is that you will not be replaced in the scheme of divine project in Jesus name.

In the Bible reading for today, there is a great revelation of God’s foreknowledge of all things and how this attribute makes Him provide alternatives beforehand. The replacement of Judas Iscariot was predicted by the mouth of King David who was also a prophet in his right. The implication of this revelation is that before Judas Iscariot chose to be a betrayer which in turn disqualified him among the twelve, God had planned an alternative for him!

Another lesson we can learn from this as children of God is that whenever a way seems blocked, God has more than a thousand alternative ways to replace the blocked one. The bible says:
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Beloved, learning from the stories of King Saul and Judas Iscariot, we must be very careful about the way we live our lives, so that what happened to them does not repeat itself in our lives. 1 Corinthians 10/6 says “Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.” As I was growing up in my father’s house, I leant to be obedient through the experience of my elder brother with our disciplinarian father.

My elder brother was a very strong young man with a good physique, strength and wresting prowess. Only a few young men among his contemporaries could dare challenge him to a fight. However, the day our father disciplined my elder brother and this so called ‘hero’ cried like a baby, I decided never to do anything that would make our father think of punishing me. God has alternatives to any child of His that is not law-abiding. Let us therefore beware of doing things that will make God replace us with someone else.

Prayer Point:
Father, help me never to do that which will make You replace me in Your Kingdom.
