Rivers State Governor and Director-
General of Buhari/Osibanjo Campaign
Organization, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi
has described the victory of the
Presidential standard bearer of the All
Progressives Congress, General
Muhammadu Buhari as the handiwork
of God to effect change in the
leadership of the country.
Amaechi stated this on arrival at the
Port Harcourt International Airport,
Omagwa, where he was warmly
welcomed by State APC chieftains
and Party stalwarts.
Amaechi thanked Nigerians and APC
Party faithful for their collective
efforts in voting General Buhari and
assured that Buhari will run a
transparent and accountable
government that will move the
nation to greater heights.
According to him, “I attribute the
Victory of APC to the handiwork of
God. And, it is to effect change in
the leadership of this country. I
want to thank Nigerians and APC
faithful for the various roles they
played to lead the party to victory.
Be assured that Buhari’s
administration will run an
accountable and transparent
government and will take this nation
to the next level”, Amaechi said.
Amaechi enjoined Nigerians and
APC Party faithful to join him in
congratulating the winner of the
2015 Presidential election, General
Muhamadu Buhari and his running
mate, Professor Osibanjo on their
victory at the polls.
Senator Magnus Abe, representing
Rivers South East Senatorial District,
thanked the Almighty God for
making it possible for Nigerians to
know the truth in the face of
wickedness, political high
handedness and impunity by the
military and the police against APC
supporters in the state.
According to him, “We don’t have
anything to say than to tell
Governor Amaechi thank you for
making it possible for us to identify
with the All Progressives Congress,
that won the Presidential elections.
The victory for Buhari has made us
proud, Rivers people will now be
free from wickedness, political high
handedness and impunity”, Senator
Abe said.
Also speaking the APC state party
chairman, Davies Ikanya said: “This
Victory of Buhari is the Glory of God
and it means Nigerians are
beginning to have a say in
governance. I congratulate General
Buhari and the Director General,
Governor Amaechi for putting the
vision of the Party into reality”.
Ikanya also urged Rivers people to
embrace change and expect to see
APC as the ruling party after May
29th, 2015.
“This time around, we have seen
that Rivers people and Nigerians are
yearning for change and Buhari’s
victory is victory for Africa.It is also
a good example for other African
leaders to emulate.
Nigerians are happy because they
were given freedom to exercise
their legitimacy for a credible
government. This is a step forward
to move the country to achieve
desired results”, Ikanya said.
On his part, former Caretaker
Committee Chairman of Obio/Akpor
local government area, Dr. Lawrence
Chukwu said the victory of Buhari
should be regarded as the collective
will of Nigerians for change in the
nation’s democracy.
Chukwu also commended Governor
Amaechi for steering the initiative
to effect change in the nation’s
democracy.
According to him, “I commend
Governor Amaechi who initiated the
move to effect change for the future
of Nigeria. I am proud to say, agents
of change were truly in charge of
the process”, Chukwu said.
