FIFA Rankings: Super Falcons Drop Eight Places

The Super Falcons of Nigeria has dropped nine
places in the latest FIFA rankings to 38th
position in the world.
The poor position of the Falcons can be
attributed to the abysmal performance of the
team at the All Africa Games where they failed
to win any medals and their failure to qualify for
next year’s Olympics in Rio, Brazil.
The Falcons who are being handled by caretaker
Coach Chris Danjuma played seven matches in
total in September.

Meanwhile USA continue to hold a lead over
Germany and France at the top of the rankings
as no matches have been played sine the end of
the Women’s World Cup in July.
The next FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World
Ranking will be published on 18 December 2015.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles retained its 53 rd spot on
the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola world rankings
released by the world football governing body
three weeks ago.
